## My Journey into IT:

While I’ve always been curious about technology and coding, it often seemed mysterious, almost magical, and far outside my realm of understanding. Websites, in particular, felt like intricate puzzles, seamlessly presenting information without revealing the mechanisms behind the curtain. But that sense of mystery began to fade, replaced by a growing fascination, and this blog post is about the unexpected journey that followed.

My spark ignited with a simple discovery: the developer tools in my web browser. Suddenly, I could peek behind the curtain, tweaking HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to alter the content of popular websites. Changing banners, swapping images – it was like having a secret key to the digital world. Around the same time, a friend working on exciting 3D printing projects at a startup further fueled my interest. The idea that I could create something tangible with technology, something with real-world implications, truly captivated me.

My first steps involved diving headfirst into Codecademy’s full-stack developer path. I devoured tutorials, built simple websites, and familiarized myself with the tools of the trade – Visual Studio Code, the command line, the thrill of seeing my creations come to life in the browser. I even audited Harvard’s CS50 courses on edX, expanding my knowledge of computer science and cybersecurity. However, the sheer volume of resources and learning pathways proved overwhelming. I often found myself lost in “tutorial hell,” struggling with burnout and a lack of clear direction. But amidst the challenges, there were small victories. I’ll never forget the thrill of viewing a website I’d built, however simple, in my browser for the first time. It was a tangible representation of my hard work and a powerful motivator.

Now, my focus is on Python, networking, and cybersecurity. I’m particularly drawn to the potential of cloud platforms like AWS for data management, though much of that world still feels like uncharted territory. My short-term goal is to land my first IT role, a stepping stone toward my larger ambition: using technology to improve lives. I envision a future where data is managed more efficiently, securely, and ethically, empowering individuals and organizations alike. The possibilities of AI also intrigue me, and I’m eager to explore how these technologies can be harnessed for good.

This journey is far from over, and I’m excited to continue learning and growing in the ever-evolving landscape of IT. It’s a path that began with a simple tweak in my browser’s developer tools and has blossomed into a passion for building a better future through technology.
